I quietly pushed open the door of my room and closed it behind me, resting my back against it as though I had just escaped from a storm. The room was silent, yet my mind was louder than ever. I slowly slid down until I was sitting on the floor, my eyes fixed on nothing in particular. One sentence kept echoing inside my head over and over again, refusing to leave.
